Depok is included in a beach on the Parangtritis Beach area and particularly Depok beach area is a fishermen village. It is located more or less 40 (fourty) kilometer on the southward of Jogja, or to be exact on the east side of river Opak.

Here, at Depok beach area, you can see the daily life of fishermen and also buy fresh fish from Fish Market 7 Auction (TPI) which operates daily. You can have your fresh fish and have it cooked by local people at available food stall.

TIPS & TRICK
- Pay attention to local myth that suggests you not to wear green clothes since it is believed that the clothes may attract the power of the South Sea
- Waves at Depok beach is high and strong, also the land has many small curves which make the waves circling and pulling away; it is quite dangerous for you to swim therefore it is not suggested to go far from the beach
