Desa Wisata Gamplong is a handycraft tourism that is located on Gamplong, Sumber Rahayu, Moyudan, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Precisely, it lies on the west side of Yogyakarta, about 17 kilometers from Yogyakarta. It is a fabulous place to be visited that the local people of this village still use traditional property to produce their product. Gamplong people use Alat Tenun Bukan Mesin (ATBM) or non-machine weaver to produce stagen (long fabric for women's stomach), and cane work for souvenir.

Not only popular with its ATBM, it also familiar with its people who have great creativity in creating useless plants to be quaified products that come to export quality. The products produced by Gamplong people are bags, wallets, women accesories, curtains, floor mats, and etc.

Their products, are not only sold around Yogyakarta, but also sent to Jakarta and Bali. The buyers from the outside of Yogyakarta, mostly will sell the products later. The buyers are not only from other cities of Yogyakarta, but also come from Australia. Most of them have become regular buyer in Gamplong.

According to the chief of the craftsman "Tegar" (Teguh Ekonomis Gigih Amanah dan Rajin) Gamplong I, Sumber Rahayu, Moyudan, Sleman, each craftsman can obtain about Rp 75-100 million. Most of them usually have around 50 workers who comes from Gamplong and other place.

Recently, there are no less than 24 craftmans in Gamplong who are dealing with wooven fabrric. Their ability used to come from their anchestor that comes to them naturally.
