Radio Q, under the holding company of PT. Radio Ria Kencana, was initially on air on August 1 2002 after the trial since June – July 2002. Formerly on air, the station with Call Sign PM 5 FQR was on 87.95 FM.

By the rule of the Minister of Transportation, since May 2 2004, the station that concerns on young adult is now on air at 88.3 FM.

On its broadcast, it does not only serve the musik for the young and adult, but also gives information around lifestyle dan entertaintment to the audience. Generally, it plays 60 % Internasional Hits and 40 % Indonesian Hits for the people of DIY and Central Java.

Its vision and mission is to be the first station for its audience and to be the station that is able to entertain its listener with several on air program and off air program.
