Agus Dewe, born in Kendal August 12 1965, learns the world of fine art because of his brothers who also work in art world. Eventhough his parents forbid him, Agus who has a strong willing was pushing himself to go to FSRD ISI for his own fine art education. In his high school, Agus was also active in Kabid Kesenian OSIS (art division at student organisation).

There was a friction between his academical background with his environment. In 1985, Agus Dewe made his first exhibition at Karta Pustaka. Also with his friends he collaborated in Destructive Image exhibition. In 1992, Agus succeeded to get attention from the society with his 24 hours exhibition in his own room. He spreaded his invitation to many level of society, such as his friends, ketua RT, until president residence in Cendana.

His fine artworks are full of social enviromental issues. One of them is a painting called "Bancaan Sega Kuning" which pictures the "riots" of political parties in Indonesia racing for authority in the form of "bancaan sega kuning".

"Senja Keunguan Ladang Jagung" is his masterpiece. This painting describes a situation in a corn field in the evening with two chickens. That painting was claimed several times from collectors or art galleries, however it is always returned to Agus Dewe. Now Agus also modificates old in his spare times besides painting.
