Abas CH, born in Kulon Progo, June 15 1953, works as a state officer, that is a religion teacher in a high school in Magelang. Related to art and culture practice, Abas CH is an expert in story telling using Javanese language as well as Bahasa Indonesia. He claimed that he would study and learn the art of story telling until his time ends.

His ability of story telling was achieved not from formal school but a self-taught. He was used to listen RRI radio program on shadow puppet shows. He dreamed that he would make the way the story told more interesting.

He often tells story in particular events and also on weekly radio program in Javanese language. He loves to tell the story of "Kumandanging Katresnan" and "Nyai Blorong". He takes the stories from several Javanese magazines.

He was once represented Jogja in national children story telling held by Dinas Pariwisata Seni dan Budaya. Also he received an award from Kids Fun in 1998 as the story teller.
