Achmad Dinomo is a leader in religion who was born in Sleman 1920. He was studying in Japan colonialism just for reading ability, about 1942-1943.

Achmad Dinomo was interested in sholawatan (an art tradition of singing) since 1945. His ability in art was obtained from a religion teacher in his kampong. He admitted that he had performed sholawatan in the region of Sleman. Unfortunately, he did not have any documentation on those performances.

Sholawatan is a form of art of singing with religion nuance (especially Islam). It is similar to performance of choir with particular lyrics telling about the holyness, greatness, life of Prophet Mohammed and his bestfriends using a set of percussion called "terbang".
