Later, on October 2nd, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will be declaring Indonesian batik as one of the world heritage, in France. The decalaration it shelves, actually has been released in September 28.

Due to that reason, the Mayor of Yogyakarta Herry Zudianto gives mandatory to the local officer in order to wearing batik clothes during October 1st until 3rd, as the national pride of having batik.

The rule of the mayor has been arranged in circulated letter of the mayor number 430/3651 dated September 15 2009 in which wearing batik clothes is obligatory for the officer of local government of Yogyakarta in 1, 2, and 3 october 2009.

Not only for the local officer of Yogyakarta, the mayor also suggests the whole teachers, students, education institution, both public and private in Yogyakarta on those days.

The mayor also reccomends for all chiefs and officer of local government company in Yogyakarta in order to wear batik on that priceless day for Indonesian people, as batik is about to declare as one of culture heritage for all mankind.
